Cardiogen (Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg), the Khavinson synthetic heart peptide bioregulator, as 60 oral capsules taken as a daily supplement. Coming soon.

Product information

Cardiogen is the Khavinson heart peptide bioregulator with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg (AEDR), a synthetic four-amino-acid peptide modelled on heart muscle peptides. Matter will offer it as a 60-capsule daily supplement; it is listed as coming soon. Cardiogen the peptide has nothing to do with the CardioGen-82 rubidium generator used in cardiac imaging.

Heart muscle cells are long-lived and change with age, and the Khavinson programme studied them with an extract complex and the synthetic peptide. Published Cardiogen work is molecular: the tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg stimulated expression of cytoskeletal and nuclear matrix proteins in cell cultures (PubMed 22977870); a 2022 review discusses peptide regulation of cardiovascular cell senescence (PubMed 36611900); and an earlier microarray study looked at short peptides and gene expression in mouse heart (PubMed 12360356). Cell and animal data only; no human trial. Capsule details will be confirmed on the label at launch.

Naming: Cardiogen is a peptide, not a medical device. Searches for 'cardiogen' mostly mean the CardioGen-82 generator, a Bracco product that produces rubidium-82 for PET scans. The natural heart extract in the same line is Chelohart, which Matter does not currently list. Cardiogen capsules are a dietary supplement, not a heart medication. Suggested use will follow the box: 2 capsules a day with food, one 60-capsule box per 30-day course, repeated 2 to 3 times a year. Dietary supplement; not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Frequently asked questions

What is Cardiogen peptide?

Cardiogen is a synthetic Khavinson peptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg, four amino acids modelled on peptides from heart muscle. Laboratory work shows it stimulates expression of cytoskeletal and nuclear matrix proteins in cell cultures (PubMed 22977870). Matter will sell it as a 60-capsule daily supplement, listed as Heart Bioregulator (Cardiogen), currently marked coming soon.

What are the benefits of Cardiogen peptide?

The published benefits are cellular: changes in protein expression in cultured cells and a proposed role in slowing senescence of cardiovascular cells (PubMed 36611900). No study shows a benefit in people. As a supplement, Cardiogen is taken in 30-day courses to support normal heart muscle cell function; it is not a treatment for any heart condition.

Is Cardiogen a peptide or a medical device?

Both names exist, for unrelated things. Cardiogen the peptide is a Khavinson tetrapeptide sold as a supplement. CardioGen-82 is a strontium-82/rubidium-82 generator made by Bracco and used in hospitals for cardiac PET imaging. If a search result mentions FDA recalls or radiation, it is about the generator, not the peptide.

Which peptides are bioregulators?

The Khavinson line covers most organs: Vladonix for the thymus, Svetinorm for the liver, Thyreogen for the thyroid, Visoluten for the retina, Libidon for the prostate, Cerluten for the brain, Sigumir for cartilage, Glandokort for the adrenal glands, Suprefort for the pancreas and Testoluten for the testes. All ten are in stock at Matter as 60-capsule daily supplements.

Are peptide bioregulators safe?

Cardiogen is sold as a dietary supplement, not a drug, with the standard FDA disclaimer on the box. The Khavinson literature reports good tolerability over 30-day courses, mostly from one research group. Adults only; not for pregnancy or nursing. Ask a healthcare professional if you have a medical condition or take medication, including heart or blood pressure medication.
