Cartilage peptide complex concentrate supporting cartilage cell function through natural bioregulation. Extract ultrafiltrate from young animal cartilage tissue. Made in Germany.
Product information
Sigumir is the Khavinson cartilage peptide bioregulator (A-4), a natural extract complex from young animal cartilage sold as a 60-capsule daily supplement. Each capsule contains 20mg of cartilage extract (pcc-04). It is the oral, non-synthetic cartilage product in the Khavinson line, distinct from Cartalax, the synthetic tripeptide Ala-Glu-Asp that is injected.
Cartilage has no blood supply and turns over slowly, which is why joint tissue is a long-standing target in the Khavinson programme. The published work centres on the synthetic cartilage peptide (Ala-Glu-Asp, the Cartalax sequence) and on stem cells: a 2023 review covers peptide regulation of chondrogenic stem cell differentiation (PubMed 37176122), peptide regulators changed bone tissue structure in aging rats (PubMed 18306703), and the AED peptide was compared with KE in aging fibroblast cultures (PubMed 33231794). None of these used this capsule. Matter's Sigumir is made in Germany in a GMP facility, with 20mg of cartilage extract per capsule as printed on the box.
Naming: Sigumir is not Cartalax. Cartalax is a defined synthetic tripeptide that Matter lists as a 20mg vial for research use only; Sigumir is the natural cartilage extract in capsules and is a dietary supplement. If you searched 'sigumir vs cartalax', that is the whole difference: same organ, natural capsule versus synthetic injectable. Suggested use from the label: 2 capsules a day with food; one 60-capsule box is a 30-day course, repeated 2 to 3 times a year. Dietary supplement; not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Frequently asked questions
Which peptide is most effective for cartilage regeneration?
No peptide is established to regenerate human cartilage; the evidence is cell and animal work. In the Khavinson line the synthetic tripeptide Cartalax (Ala-Glu-Asp) has the most published data, reviewed in 2023 (PubMed 37176122), while Sigumir is the natural cartilage extract sold as a capsule supplement. BPC-157 is a separate research peptide with its own literature.
What is Cartalax?
Cartalax is a synthetic Khavinson tripeptide, Ala-Glu-Asp, modelled on cartilage peptides and studied for effects on chondrogenic and fibroblast cell cultures. It is an injectable research compound. Matter lists Cartalax as a 20mg vial for research use only, coming soon, and stocks the natural cartilage capsule Sigumir today.
What is the difference between Sigumir and Cartalax?
Sigumir is a natural peptide complex extracted from young animal cartilage, sold as 60 capsules and taken as a daily supplement. Cartalax is a defined synthetic tripeptide supplied as a lyophilised vial for laboratory use. Same organ, different molecule, different route, different regulatory status. Matter lists both, and only Sigumir is a supplement.
Is Sigumir a supplement or an injectable?
Sigumir is an oral capsule and a dietary supplement. The box is labelled Daily Supplement and carries a Supplement Facts panel: 2 capsules per serving, 30 servings, 20mg of cartilage extract per capsule. There is no injectable Sigumir; the injectable cartilage peptide in the Khavinson line is Cartalax, a separate research product.
Are peptide bioregulators safe?
Sigumir is sold as a dietary supplement, not a drug, with the standard FDA disclaimer on the box. The Khavinson literature reports good tolerability over 30-day courses, mostly from one research group. Adults only; not for pregnancy or nursing. Ask a healthcare professional if you have a medical condition or take medication.
How do you take Sigumir?
Follow the label: 2 capsules a day with food. One 60-capsule box is a 30-day course, repeated 2 to 3 times a year in the Khavinson protocol. Store in a cool, dry place away from light. The Joint & Muscle Bundle pairs it with Muscle Bioregulator (Gotratix), which is coming soon.
