Testoluten is the Khavinson testes peptide bioregulator (A-13), a natural extract complex from young animal testes sold as a 60-capsule daily supplement. Each capsule contains 20mg of testes extract (pcc-13). It is the oral, non-synthetic testes product in the Khavinson line, distinct from Testagen, the synthetic tetrapeptide Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly.
The testes house the Leydig cells that make testosterone and the Sertoli cells that support sperm development, and both change with age. Khavinson's group approached this organ with two tools: the extract complex and the short synthetic peptide Testagen (Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly). Published work is thin and mostly molecular: fluorescence-labelled Testagen entered the cell nucleus and bound DNA in vitro (PubMed 22117547), and organ peptides stimulated differentiation markers in aging cell cultures from several tissues (PubMed 22808515). A 2021 systematic review summarises the gene-expression hypothesis behind the whole line (PubMed 34834147). No human study of Testoluten has been published. Matter's Testoluten is made in Germany in a GMP facility, with 20mg of extract per capsule as printed on the box.
Naming: Testoluten is not Testagen. Testagen is a synthetic four-amino-acid peptide studied in the laboratory; Testoluten is the natural testes extract in capsules, and Matter sells only the capsules. Testoluten is not a testosterone product and makes no testosterone claim. Suggested use from the label: 2 capsules a day with food; one 60-capsule box is a 30-day course, repeated 2 to 3 times a year. It has been studied for entering the cell nucleus and binding DNA in vitro (PubMed 22117547). Matter does not sell Testagen as capsules; the testes product Matter stocks is the natural extract Testoluten (A-13).
Does Testagen peptide increase testosterone?
There is no published human trial showing that Testagen or Testoluten raises testosterone. The Khavinson literature reports effects on gene expression and cell cultures, not hormone levels in men. Testoluten is a dietary supplement sold to support normal testicular cell function; it is not a testosterone booster, and Matter makes no such claim.
What does Testagen peptide do?
In laboratory studies Testagen (Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly) behaves like other Khavinson short peptides: it enters cell nuclei, binds DNA in vitro and is proposed to influence gene expression in testicular tissue (PubMed 22117547). Effects in people have not been established. The oral product in the same organ line is the natural extract Testoluten.
