Product information

Visoluten is the Khavinson retina peptide bioregulator (A-11), a natural extract complex from young animal eye tissue sold as a 60-capsule daily supplement. Each capsule contains 20mg of eye tissue extract (pcc-11). It is the oral, non-synthetic retina product in the Khavinson line; there is no injectable Visoluten, and its injectable relative is the extract Retinalamin.

The retina is a light-sensing layer of neurons and pigment epithelium that does not regenerate, so it is one of the most studied tissues in the Khavinson programme. Findings come from cells and animals: retinal peptides stimulated proliferation in retinal and pigment epithelium cultures (PubMed 12937684), showed inductive activity in embryonic tissue models (PubMed 12802458) and regulated differentiation of embryonic retinal cells (PubMed 23667897); a 2019 review summarises the molecular physiology of peptide retinoprotectors (PubMed 30859383). Those studies used research preparations, not this capsule. Matter's Visoluten is made in Germany in a GMP facility, with 20mg of eye tissue extract per capsule as printed on the box.

Naming: Visoluten is a capsule, not an injection. The injectable retina preparation in the Russian literature is Retinalamin, a polypeptide extract used in clinics, which Matter does not sell. Visoluten is a dietary supplement, not a treatment for macular degeneration or any eye disease. Suggested use from the label: 2 capsules a day with food; one 60-capsule box is a 30-day course, repeated 2 to 3 times a year. Dietary supplement; not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best peptide to improve vision?

No peptide is established to improve vision in people, so be careful with that claim. The Khavinson line has the most retina-specific research: retinal peptides studied in cell and animal models (PubMed 30859383) and Visoluten, the natural retina extract sold as a capsule supplement. Matter stocks Visoluten to support normal retinal cell function, not to sharpen eyesight.

Is there a peptide for macular degeneration?

Not as a treatment. Macular degeneration is a medical condition that needs an eye doctor, and no dietary supplement, Visoluten included, is intended to treat or prevent it. The Russian literature on retina peptides comes from clinical use of the injectable Retinalamin and from laboratory work; Visoluten is the oral supplement form of retina peptides.

Is Visoluten an injection or a capsule?

A capsule. Visoluten is a 60-capsule box labelled Daily Supplement, with 20mg of eye tissue extract per capsule and a serving of 2 capsules a day with food. There is no injectable Visoluten. The injectable retina peptide preparation in the Khavinson line is Retinalamin, a different product that Matter does not sell.

What is Visoluten peptide?

Visoluten is the retina peptide bioregulator in the Khavinson Cytamins line, product A-11. It is a low-molecular-weight peptide complex extracted from young animal eye tissue, made in Germany in a GMP facility, 60 capsules per box. Matter lists it as Retina Eye Bioregulator (Visoluten) and ships it from the USA.

Are peptide bioregulators safe?

Visoluten is sold as a dietary supplement, not a drug, with the standard FDA disclaimer on the box. The Khavinson literature reports good tolerability over 30-day courses, mostly from one research group. Adults only; not for pregnancy or nursing. Ask a healthcare professional if you have a medical condition or take medication.

How do you take Visoluten?

Follow the label: 2 capsules a day with food. One 60-capsule box is a 30-day course, repeated 2 to 3 times a year in the Khavinson protocol. Store in a cool, dry place away from light. Some people take it alongside Brain & CNS Bioregulator (Cerluten) as a nervous-system pair.
